Painting Water Treatment Plant 60-Ft.-Diameter Clarifier Inks Lake Water Treatment Plant, City of Burnet
The project involved structural repairs, sandblasting, and painting the existing upflow clarifier of the water treatment plant. The unit was taken out of service and hydraulically pressure washed. Structural repairs to corroded metals were made. All ferrous metals were sandblasted to near white and painted with a high-quality potable water paint system. The contract allowed a 30-day construction period and 16 days were allowed for the water treatment plant to be out of service. The Contractor was required to provide tarps, heaters, and dehumidifiers so that weather conditions caused no delay.
