Esplanade Street Area Water System Improvements 2012
This Texas Department of Agriculture Community Development Block Grant project included installation of approximately 6,086 linear feet of 8-inch and 6-inch water transmission line with twenty-eight 8-inch and 6-inch valves; reconnections to approximately 5 existing fire hydrants, 56 existing services, and 3 new fire hydrants; 83 linear feet of highway bore; 4,089 linear feet of HMAC street resurfacing; tracer tape; erosion control features; and associated pressure testing. The upsizing and replacement of the existing, smaller, deteriorated, water main with new larger and looped water mains and new valves and fire hydrants provides for enhanced reliability, operation and maintenance; better system pressures; reduced water losses; and fire flow improvements.
