Rural Development Assistance Program – Phase I
Burnet, Texas
This program involved the construction of three projects. The first project entailed construction of an 8-inch effluent irrigation line and an 8-inch raw wastewater force main in the same trench. The 8-inch effluent pipeline conveyed effluent from the wastewater treatment plant to a renovated and lined holding pond at the golf course utilizing about 11,000 L.F. of pipeline constructed through fields, pastures, city streets, and golf course properties. The 8-inch force main conveyed wastewater back from the golf course to the wastewater treatment plant.
The second project involved construction of a new 16-inch water transmission line of approximately 10,000 L.F. to serve areas of the City of Burnet at a higher-pressure plane. This pipeline was constructed through pastureland and city streets.
The third project was the construction of a new water and wastewater maintenance complex for the City involving approximately six acres of laydown yard and three pre-engineered metal buildings.
